About the Author Andres Amador is a San Francisco-based Earthscape artist. His work can span well over 100,000 square feet (about 35,000 square meters) and is done at low tide (generally in under two hours) using only a rake and other simple tools. The ephemeral artworks do not last long, and they even begin to wash away before he has completed them. Amador and his creations have been featured by the BBC, CNN, the Discovery Channel and on numerous television programs and in periodicals.
